It happened again -- someone I know expressed surprise that I was out of work and looking for a job.

Obviously, I'm not saying this loud enough: I'm out of work, and looking for a job.

If you have any leads, know of any jobs in the San Francisco area that I might be qualified for, or have any ideas about directions I should try pursuing, please let me know. Write to me at this LJ name at aol.com.

I'm smart, hard-working, polite, and pleasant to be around (if I do say so myself). ([livejournal.com profile] qbear adds "humble and lovable.")

Heck, in the right field, like web development or something similarly creative, even an unpaid internship would be appreciated. Anything to get me busy working.

My friend Mark ([livejournal.com profile] kybearfuzz) likes to draw bears as superheroes, and now he's drawn me as one. Thanks, Mark, it was good fun to collaborate with you, and seeing an idealized version of myself as a superhero really brightened my day.

I've always been (if you'll pardon the expression) drawn to the comic-style animated superheroes. Hot.

Have you looked at Salesforce.com? There are some awesome positions there, but I've been looking at specific skills that probably are not directly related to yours. Still, it's worth looking.

Love the superhero persona!

I'm not much help on your job front, unfortunately, but you have my best wishes.

Hey handsome! I'm happy you like the end product! I enjoyed creating it with you and I'm glad it made you happy. :)

Not sure if this will help or not, but take a look here for federal positions out there:

ooh! you could even dry yourself and friends off after a rain-storm a-la Rachel Summers in the Excalibur series. Yes I know, all the power of the Phoenix, and I was amazed she could separate the majority of water molecules from their clothes with a wave of the hand (wing). Huh. Guess that should have clued me in on the gay thing, Ya Think?

I was just looking at your [livejournal.com profile] kybearfuzz superhero, Ricochet ... in a battle between us (as all comic book superheroes seem to do), I think I could wrestle control of your telekinetic ball of energy away from you, but only at the beginning, before it's built up any strength. Once it's absorbed kinetic energy and is surging with power, I doubt my telekinesis would be strong enough to affect it.

We were just having joblessness anxiety chez nous last night, so hugs to you. And I've always thought you were some kind of superhero. ;-)

Did I ever tell you you're my hero?

You are the wind beneath the covers my wings!
