No apologies
Yeah, I know people think Jack and I are pretty good in the kitchen. We've both worked as short order cooks, we wrote that little cookbook a few years ago, and we've had any number of you over for brunch, dinner, homemade pizza, lasagna, braciole, full Thanksgiving dinners, whatever.
But sometimes, at the start of the cold, wet season, all we really want is a big pot of beanie-wienie. Which is what we had tonight.

Comfort food...
I am a fan of calico beans myself. It's hearty, warm, and sticks to the bones.
For a twist on beanie weenies? Try adding some beef, cooked bacon, and a little brown sugar with the beans and weenies and you have Cowboy Casserole. Bake up some cornbread and you really have a feast!
