"So, do you want a bagel?" I ask qbear as we're puttering around the kitchen this morning.

"No, I ate the leftover chicken earlier," he says.

"I wanted some of that for lunch," I reply.

"Too bad!" he says. "I washed the pans in the sink, and you know what they say ... he who does the dishes, eats whatever he wishes."
