So, I've been running a temperature the past few days -- some sort of minor cold or something. qbear insists that I have the "boogie fever," however, and to get better, I'm going to have to "boogie down (get on down)." Couldn't I just take NyQuil instead?

If you start trying to cough up your lungs then it's what we had. Keep warm, bed rest, fluids and bad movies seem to help.

I made the mistake of trying to watch this once when I was horribly ill with the flu. William Smith doing a B-grade Rod Steiger imitation and speaking gibberish during the ritual scenes and a hilarious scene with flying, killer stuffed animals are the only reasons to stay conscious for it. I would have written it off as a fever dream had I not still had the VHS (75¢ off of half.com) as evidence.

At least it was better than this one time I had the flu in my high school years. This was on TV, we didn’t have a remote control (it was one of those old knob TV’s) and I was too weak to get up and change the channel. I think it made me more sick!

Is it that coughing crud that I caught around New Years, and it seems everyone in the world has had over the past month-and-a-half since? If so, expect to do a LOT of coughing, well after the rest of you has healed. I was coughing so much I half-expected to need a doctoral visit. Ditto 2ndbanana, who I talked to this evening, and is apparently just over the hump. Ditto my sister, who I visited last week, and is still recuperating somewhat.
