Because people need to make plans, let’s get some feedback for this coming weekend when [livejournal.com profile] stripedtiger is visiting here in San Francisco. If you answer ‘yes’ to #1 and #2, move on to the following questions; otherwise, stop.

[Poll #658577]

How about a dinner choice a little closer to Atlanta?

No, you say? Too far from the Castro?

Is Atlanta the lost city at the bottom of the sea, or the city of lost Delta luggage?

From: [identity profile] abearius.livejournal.com
No, no. That is Atlantis Morisette, the Dread Psychotic Girlfriend from the Bottom of the Sea, where all baggage comes to rest.

Last weekend we found that taking large groups of gay men to Hooters at Fisherman's Warf can be fun.

Hmm, that could be fun, although parking's a bitch down there. They can accommodate big crowds? Is there ever a wait?

You can give them a party size and they have a party room!

I've only been once around 7:30 on a Friday night.

There was no wait. We had a party of ten.

The special "party room" in the back was empty.

Parking

Screw parking and go for an F-line party. ;-)

I will probably be up in Lassen County celebrating my Birthday and the onset of Chinese New Year. Is [livejournal.com profile] stripedtiger available for petting before then?

Friday night? We could have a special "preview" dinner.

Will have to get back to you. We might be leaving that night.

Preview? Does that mean [livejournal.com profile] stripedtiger will be "showing"? ;)

At first I picked Yet Wah. I don't really like the food that much, but the size and location (there's a square dance nearby that night!) were good. Then [livejournal.com profile] double_ohsteven said that Chinese on Saturday night followed by Chinese dim sum on Sunday morning might not be such a good idea. (Although I'd gladly eat Chinese every day.)

I like the Hooters idea.

I also listed Lefty Odouls because it's a pretty big place where each person pays on their own.

I listed Don Ramon's because it's near the Lone Star.

I didn't know there was a Buca in San Fran. It started out in Minnesota (people here tend to call it Bucas). I knew it was a chain, but didn't know how many of them there were. I got "Buca-ed" out a few years ago.

OH my god. Dan is going to go into a sexual sugar-shock when he sees all the handsome mens he's going to have dinner with.

I can't be there but I did have a big spread at Todai once, all the food was bad. For the price, you can do better.

Can you commandeer the back patio at Chow off Market? Or... I think it's called Tai-Pan, I have been with a party of 12 there (pan-Asian place across from Market Tower Records a couple of doors down from the bookstore, I think that's the name).

From: [identity profile] rootbeer1.livejournal.com
Tai-Pan is long gone.

Yeah, Todai is totally overpriced/overrated.

I love Asian buffets, but I prefer Moonstar.

We could do that instead of dim sum ... we'll make plans Friday when Dan is here.

I totally want to meet Dan, but I have been sucked into the equivalent of the Phantom Zone (Fresno) and can't escape at the moment (and if I could I would have been on your doorstep for pizza night). Hope you all have a great weekend!
