A holiday wish

I was planning to list some of the neat things I got qbear for Christmas, or he got for me, but somehow it just doesn't seem very important right now. I've felt a kinship with dacubsf all fall --we both suffered turns for the worse, him with an illness, me with a fall and a broken leg, and the news this week that the prognosis for him doesn't look good has me frequently in tears. I regret that I haven't been well enough to visit him at home or in the hospital.

If I could make a wish for all my friends this holiday season, it'd be that we'd wake up and realize how lucky we are to have friends we can rely on. Jeff is very fortunate to have friends like castrowoof and sf_luke, and I'm very grateful to have qbear. But all of my friends out there -- I feel a connection with all of you. And if I haven't told you, please know: I appreciate your presence in my life. I treasure you all. If you could do something for me this Christmas, it's this: please let the people in your life know how much you value them. Because we're all in this together.
