I must be getting better -- I've reduced my Vicodin intake and finally have the focus to post an LJ entry every day.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] chukspace and his partner David for coming over last night. We tried a new Chinese delivery place and it was OK -- better in some dishes than our usual delivery place, worse in others. Still haven't found a delivery place here that bowls us over.

Had my first physical therapy session yesterday, and the therapist Spamela gave me a lot of "homework" -- moving my knee and ankle in various ways, lifting my legs, etc. Since I'm not on the CPM machine any more, this will give some structure to my day, which is good ... 'cause I am so bored with daytime TV.

Bizarrely vivid dream last night that I was visiting some London chums and they took me to some downmarket clothing store and tried to pass it off as Vivienne Westwood's shop. I played dumb and asked the clueless shopgirls where the bondage trousers were, which only confused them.

Glad to see you are on the mend Steve!

I've got PT homework too. Fun isn't it?

And daytime TV, oh ye gods and little fishes, I can't think of a better incentive to get well quickly. The endless adverts for attack lawyers, scammy schools and miracle diet pills are more than enough on their own to cause brain death.

I love Jerry Springer's new subtitle: "wasting technology since 1991". At least he's honest about what he does.

Have you tried China Wok on Monterey? If you are thinking they don't deliver to your location you should ask, they deliver pretty far out.

Delivery

We have the same problem with Chinese delivery. They usually are good at one thing and suck at another. Let me know if you ever find that "bowl over" place!

We received a take-out menu on the gate yesterday for "Crazy Sushi." It has things like "Orgasmic Spicy tuna," "Sexy Lizzy," and "Lesbionic Maki." Their creativity might inspire us to order from them sometime.

Congratulations on having graduated to PT! This means things are mending and healing.

In between bouts of TV, you could start working on your telekinetic powers.

We plan to attend the Foggy City dance on Saturday night and were wondering if we could come visit you guys in the late afternoon.

We were thinking of going to the dance too! It's about time we got out and socialized.

I wouldn't be dancing, but Jack could.

If we decide not to go, we'll let you know, so you can stop by beforehand.

We used to like it, then we thought it went downhill (and the prices went up).

I'm in PT too and it seems to be working. Although the pain is increasing while I limber up and stretch my long under-used muscles. I will try to go to the dance as well this Saturday although I also will not be dancing.

Spamela!? Is that a real name!?

She told us her name was Pamela, not Pam, because Pam rhymes with Spam and she hates the very idea of Spam ... so naturally we've been referring to her as Spamela (but not to her face).
