Okay, the GOP vice presidential candidate. Utterly ridiculous. A mayor and two-year governor. A creationist who has been touched by scandal, who doesn't know what the vice president does.

What a stupid, stupid move on the part of McCain and the GOP ... so, naturally, I'm quite pleased.

I'm taking three classes this semester: software engineering, Ruby programming, and a two-day intensive Ruby on Rails workshop that started and ended last weekend. Last night my software engineering professor, who is originally from Brazil, went on and on about how the names of the server and the linux boxes at the college were so stupidly named, no one could remember them, whoever named them was an idiot, yada yada yada.

The server name? Springfield. The linux box names? Lisa, Marge, Homer, Bart, Skinner, Wiggum, Apu, Burns, Smithers, Moe, etc.

I don't know ... the naming scheme seems very logical and memorable to me.
