Still in P-town, sunburned and bugbitten. Having a great time, and have seen a number of folks from back home -- Bill and Andy, Bill and Dave, Derek, etc. Last night nine of us took a schooner around Provincetown harbor, and enjoyed the sunset and moonrise, with cheese, crackers and five bottles of wine, and I didn't even get seasick.

Finished The Handmaid's Tale and now halfway through Prick Up Your Ears. The weather has been beautiful every day, so we haven't even cracked open a DVD. Our days are spent by the pools, with ample sunshine and pricey cocktails. Nights have been spent eating, drinking, dancing (Blowoff with Bob Mould and Rich Morel), hanging out by the pizza parlor peoplewatching, etc. Tonight is the retro '70s and '80s disco, and [livejournal.com profile] profkampf should be arriving in another hour.

Our Hawaiian cocktail party Monday night attracted literally hundreds of people to our house, including the unexpected surprise [livejournal.com profile] sunsmogseahorse. Our house was packed, and the street outside was as well, attracting cruising police cars three times, but everyone was well behaved, so they didn't stop. I joked with Joe, Bill and Dave, my housemates, that next year the theme should be Zombies Attack!, so that as guests arrive and try to get inside the house to get drinks, it'll just be a reinforcement of the theme. Just tell the the guests to moan and shuffle on their way to the party. Bill, Joe and Dave could serve a zombie punch, and instead of draping leis around the guests, could drape bacon or other cured meats.

Meeting tons of nice people, including "Mama Bear" from the John Waters movie A Dirty Shame and many online acquaintances. Wish [livejournal.com profile] qbear were here ... he'd be having as much fun as I am.
