Another question

What confusing poll results! Some locals say they WON’T be attending the dinner with [livejournal.com profile] stripedtiger, yet they still veto some restaurants and recommend others. Other people are thousands of miles away, but they still feel like they need to get a say in as to where the locals here eat. Thanks for sharing!

Todai and Buca di Beppo are generating both the most interest and the most vehement objections. How about a new question?

A new hope

How does Don Ramon’s float your boat?

Don Ramon’s can accommodate a big crowd, has much more on its menu besides seafood, has a variety of items of all different price ranges, is near to the Lone Star, is not a chain AND can accommodate everyone who would want to come out and eat. (Buca di Beppo’s has a problem that even with the maximum sized room, if we were still able to reserve it, we wouldn’t be able to fit everyone in. Same with dim sum at Ton Kiang on Sunday.)

So, what do you think of this proposal? Let’s do Don Ramon’s Saturday night at 7 p.m., and then Todai for lunch (which is only $15.95, or $10 cheaper than the dinner price) on Sunday at 12:30. Anyone who’s interested in meeting [livejournal.com profile] stripedtiger and hanging out with a bunch of local San Francisco bears can come to one or both. (Special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] fuzzygruf and [livejournal.com profile] double_ohsteven for the Don Ramon idea.)

Of course, [livejournal.com profile] qbear says we should eat at a “Poll-ish” restaurant. That wag!
