Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] danman869.

* What's on your bedside table? Clock radio (22 years old and still working -- it's the one I used in college), The Story of Psychology (current reading), spare change, tissues . . . and ointments designed to assist in "relaxing in a gentleman's way."
* What's the geekiest part of your music collection? Probably the bubblegum. Greatest hits by the Archies, Boyce & Hart, Paul Revere & the Raiders, the Banana Splits and similar late '60s/early '70s groups.
* What is your secret guaranteed weeping film? "Junior" -- I cried when Arnold Schwarzenegger gave birth. Hormones must have been flaring that day for both of us.
* If you could have plastic surgery, what would you have done? Lipo on mid-section.
* Do you have a completely irrational fear? I'm afraid to eat food that has little bones in it. Freshwater fish is the worst offender.
* What is the little physical habit that gives away your insecure moments? Blushing. Maybe a little stammering.
* Do you ever have to beg? For what? No.
* Do you have too many love interests? Hmm, I have an opening on Sunday. "Have your girl call my girl."
* Describe your bed. King-sized platform bed with wooden storage towers on either side and drawers underneath. A wooden bridge with reading lights connects the towers. Headboard contains current books and magazines, plus small handy towels. Current sheets are cotton jersey, green-blue "modern" print. Two pillows apiece.
* What do you carry with you at all times? "Spectacles, testicles, vatch und vallet." (And keys.)
* How do you drive? A little slower than most.
* What do you miss most about being little? The way life was new and fresh and exciting. Plus, I could crawl under my parents' bed and nap or read comics, and nobody knew I was there.
* What was the last song you were listening to? "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne ([livejournal.com profile] e_ticket recommended the album . . . it's quite good)
* Have you ever been in a school play? Not since sixth grade, when I appeared in a "Rip Van Winkle" operetta. I played one of the bowling gnomes and had one or two speaking lines.
* Have you ever been in love? Yes.
* Do you like yourself and believe in yourself? Yes. Sometimes I'm the only one I can count on.
* Do you consider yourself to be a nice person? Yep! I wish I knew more people like me. I'm terrific! *

---------------

* Not to appear smug or anything like that. In addition to being terrific, I am also humble.

Oh boy, now that I'm an LJ member I can participate in these fads, links, polls that make the rounds. My Live Journal haiku (as linked on [livejournal.com profile] fuzzygruf's site) is a fairly good one in that it actually makes poetic sense:

color hair what would
it be creative brainstormer
if you could have any

Reminds me, for all you haiku fans, that new LJ member [livejournal.com profile] abearius has bear-related haiku on his web site. And yet ... I sent him some back in March 1999, and he promised me he'd add them to his web site "soon . . . when I get the headspace to do it." Four years later ... still nada! So I am forced to take matters in my own hands and run my bearku here:

a morning's passion
springs forth a clumsy fumbling
for Man-Size Kleenex
