Well, we had quite a pleasant little Thanksgiving here. We haven’t done a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at home since 2003, so we invited a bunch of friends over ([livejournal.com profile] profkampf and [livejournal.com profile] poohbearjim, [livejournal.com profile] foodpoisoningsf, [livejournal.com profile] simonbear, [livejournal.com profile] cubbcake, and Mel and Victor, who collectively go by [livejournal.com profile] bearndahl) and made the usual turkey, stuffing, gravy, etc., accompanied by side dishes, drinks and desserts brought by our guests. (Kevin alone brought three pies!)

A surfeit of pies embiggens the noblest of dinners

After dinner, when we were all lying around like beached whales, we watched a ridiculous ”Santa vs. Satan” movie that proved well-suited for heckling, and then some Looney Tunes cartoons off the new DVD box set, including the one where Porky Pig stutters, “Son of a … son of a … son of a … son of a gun! Heh heh heh, bet you thought I was going to say son of a bitch!”

Mmmmm
Jack ([livejournal.com profile] qbear) carves up the turkey, like he always does

Mmmm mmmm
James ([livejournal.com profile] cubbcake) and Phil ([livejournal.com profile] foodpoisoningsf) relax before dinner

Mmmm mmmm mmmm
Kevin ([livejournal.com profile] simonbear), Jim ([livejournal.com profile] poohbearjim), Ray ([livejournal.com profile] profkampf) and James finish up dinner

Mmm mmm mmmm mmmm
Kevin and Ray relax after eating, or maybe it was before eating
