Broken leg, day 65

Once again I'm thankful for such good friends.
foodpoisoningsf came by yesterday to whisk me away to Crissy Field for a few hours of sun, fresh air and gorgeous bay views (and letting
qbear wrap up Christmas presents or whatever he wanted to do at home). Thanks, Phil -- it was one of the nicest days I've had in many, many weeks.
And today,
alpenhorn and
sflonestar stopped by and brought a lunch of deli items from Whole Foods. We enjoyed macaroni and cheese, tuna salad, chicken fingers and the like while enjoying the festive holidays stylings of the Del Rubio Triplets, the Roches and the Ventures. (The Ventures' Christmas album always amuses me because each song starts off like some classic rock instrumental -- "Tequila," "Walk Don't Run," etc. -- before quickly turning into some traditional Christmas carol, done surf rock-style.)
Thanks, guys, for coming over. I've been recuperating at home here for more than two months now, and these pleasant 'cheer-up' visits really lift my spirits.
